Adult Bible Classes

Lighthouse

The Lighthouse Class is a coed class comprised of mainly age 55 and up. It is an interactive class taught/led by John Cates. The main focus of Lighthouse is the Word of God as the absolute truth and authority for a disciple's life.  We follow a curriculum called Explore the Bible in which we explore one or two books of the Bible each quarter in depth. The class meets in the Fellowship Hall and visitors and new faces are always welcome and greeted by those in attendance.

Cornerstone

The Cornerstone Class is a welcoming community for adults of all ages - men and women, single or married. This is truly a come-as-you-are environment! It is filled with a sweet spirit and a shared desire to grow closer to the Lord while building genuine friendships, support and meaningful fellowship. The teaching style is down-to-earth and Spirit-led with open discussion that focuses on how to take what we learn in God’s Word and apply it to our lives. We laugh and learn together and encourage one another as we walk out our faith. If you are looking for a class where you can grow in the Word, build authentic relationships and enjoy the journey along the way, this class is for you.

Pathway

Guided by Psalm 119:105 (ESV), "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path," Pathway Class began primarily with married couples who were newly married and/or with children from 0 to 18 years old. Today, attendees range from young single adults to empty nester couples. Our goal is to live in community as we follow Jesus. We have a monthly home fellowship in addition to Sunday morning classes, which all encourage open discussion.

Mens 2

The Mens 2 Class is a men’s class, generally older men (60+). Our goal is to better know the Word of God and how it applies to our lives. We follow a prescribed lesson plan (Explore the Bible series), reciting the scriptures, giving context and history to the lesson and answering questions posed by the lesson. It is done in a relaxed, conversationalist atmosphere which encourages participation of all.

Mens 3

The Mens 3 Class is for single and college-aged men who want to grow in their faith and apply the Bible to everyday life. Lessons are taught through open discussion around Scripture and real-life challenges. Additionally, we aim to build strong biblical foundations, foster spiritual maturity and encourage fellowship.

Spirit Sisters

The Spirit Sisters Class is designed for women in a mature season of life who bring wisdom, life experience and a deep desire to grow in God’s Word. We cultivate strong friendships while warmly welcoming new attendees. Furthermore, the teaching style is centered on open discussion which allows participants to learn from Scripture together through meaningful conversation.

Berean

The Berean Class is a women’s Bible study for adults of all ages who desire to grow deeply in their understanding of God’s Word. Named after the Bereans in Acts 17:11, we strive to approach Scripture with the same eagerness and careful examination they modeled. Since beginning in May 2022, our group has been studying the Bible verse by verse, taking time to interpret it accurately, so it can be faithfully applied to everyday life. Our atmosphere is casual, warm and encouraging.  Questions are welcome and discussion is an important part of our time together. In addition to our weekly study, we also plan various fellowship activities outside of class to help build community and strengthen relationships. Whether you are new to Bible study or have studied for years, you will find a supportive group committed to learning and living out God’s truth together.
